"INFECTED" expresses a powerful mix of internal suffering, emotional numbness, societal disillusionment, and ultimately, a desperate plea for awakening and self liberation.
It’s about hitting rock bottom mentally and emotionally and realizing the need to rise, see the truth, and take back control from the forces internal or external that have taken over our lives.

As we put the music video together, I loved the characters inspired by John Carpenter’s “They Live” as a metaphor for the monster in each of us that can only be seen in glimpses and when you are aware of them.

KURT DEIMER ABOUT THE SONG "I recently was very lucky to tour with Buckcherry and Josh and the band were really great. Towards the end of this most recent tour, I had been speaking with Josh and he was gracious enough to agree to collaborate on a song together. I had this song I thought he would be perfect on, originally called "He Was Good To Me," and it was about women unfortunately falling prey to men with bad intentions. He listened to it but wanted to re-do the lyrics. The song now is about how you can get in to a relationship and you are in it too deep. You gotta watch out for those situations. It's really about thinking before you act and get too involved."

"During the creative process when Josh and I got together at Chris Lord-Alge's studio and I saw Josh in the vocal booth being Josh Todd like he is on stage with Buckcherry and how in to it he was I just knew this had to be my next single. It's a blessing for me to be able to share my art and Josh was more than gracious to help and be a part of this killer tune "In Deep." I hope you all enjoy it.

"SYSTEM OVERRIDE" paints a picture of a collapsing society through the lens of personal disillusionment and collective struggle. At its core, it’s about mistrust, division, and the breakdown of systems, whether political, social, or spiritual, that once promised stability but now only deliver emptiness and control.

The recurring imagery of black & white versus color reflects the loss of hope, imagination, and nuance in a world consumed by conflict and polarization. Where once there may have been shades of possibility, everything now feels rigid, divided, and lifeless. The line “Do you dream in color?” becomes a desperate plea for vision, empathy, and renewal in a society that has grown numb and mechanical.

Themes of false leadership and hypocrisy surface throughout: leaders speak of greatness while ignoring suffering, strength is proclaimed while people are oppressed, and overlords exploit the weak.

The climax comes with the declaration of “SYSTEM OVERRIDE” and the call for a reset. This is an acknowledgment that the current way of living is unsustainable, and only by breaking down the corrupted system can something new and meaningful rise from the ruins.

Overall, "SYSTEM OVERRIDE" conveys both rage and despair, but beneath its bleakness lies a drive for transformation. A recognition that although the present feels hopeless, change is inevitable, and necessary.
