Arizona rockers Ded invaded The Forge in Joliet, IL on Tuesday Nov. 21 and stole the show as they brought the house down. With local opener Jury Of Fears along with Lionize and headliner Pop Evil the joint was packed. Fans streamed in early to check out locals Jury Of Fears who won a local radio contest for the chance to open the show. Those fans stayed for what was the performance of the night as Ded took the stage just after 8:30pm The band emerged from the darkness as vocalist Joe Cotela instructed the masses to "Get the fuck up" as the guys put the crowd in a tizzy with the opening song "Architect". Toward the end of the song, Cotela noticed a fight going on in the pit and advised the perpetrators to not get into fisticuffs. The next 40 minutes was pure punch you in the fucking mouth intensity as Kyle, David, Matthew and Joe brought the house down with their rock infused with metal sound. The intensity that these guys have on stage is incredible. Thrashing about, interacting with the crowd and having the balls to deliver the goods with the quality of their music. Their set included almost their entire bad ass debut album "Mis-An-Thrope" that was released this past July. Ded popped off their singles "Remember The Enemy", "FMFY" and "Anti-Everything" closed the show to a rousing ovation as they are becoming one of the most talked about up and comers in recent memory. Looks like they will be coming through Chicago once again come February 2018 with In This Moment. Check them out!

At first, I don't like the quality of music Did has been releasing. I always feel that there is something missing in their songs, it could be the emotion perhaps. But their latest album gave me a lot of realization, and I am happy to see that there were several improvements they did on the music they produce. Perhaps, their managers had an advice to them that they need to put some emotions on their music. I am hoping that they will make a comeback this year so that we can see if they are trying to follow our advices!
