After a 12 year hiatus, 2000's Nu Metal band Mudvayne is making a triumphant return in late 2021. The band is set to be a headliner in late summer/ fall for the Inkcarceration Festival, Louder Than Life, Aftershock Festival, Welcome To Rockville. Produced by Danny Wimmer Productions, all four festivals will be announcing full lineups this week. Follow the festivals or check for updates here on Bad Ass Productions! SALIVA has revealed the second single, “Click Click Boom,” from Every Twenty Years, an EP featuring re-recorded classics with current vocalist Bobby Amaru to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of their major label debut, Every Six Seconds.
“Re-recording ‘Click Click Boom’ was much easier than the original recording because we already had the blueprint laid out for us,” says guitarist and founding member Wayne Swinny. “There was no need to alter anything because the original had all the right pieces in all the right places. We simply used the advances in modern technology to enhance the song sonically.” “Click Click Boom,” available now via digital music providers, remains one of the most popular tracks from SALIVA’s 2001 breakthrough album. “I think the combination of multiple genres of music has contributed greatly to the popularity of ‘Click Click Boom,’” Swinny says. “Producer Bob Marlette took a song which was a cool, interesting rock song and crafted it masterfully into a piece of music that has stood the test of time for two decades and will continue to do so into the future.” Every 20 Years is slated for release on May 7 via Megaforce Records. The first single from the six-song EP, “Your Disease,” is available via digital music providers at https://orcd.co/yourdisease. A documentary on the band’s journey through the years is also slated for release this spring. Pre-orders for Every 20 Years are available at https://orcd.co/everytwentyyears. Formed in Memphis is 1996, SALIVA released a self-titled a debut album the following year. After selling 10,000 copies of the self-released album, Island Records took notice of the band. Every Six Seconds and its hit singles, the Grammy-nominated “Your Disease” and “Click Click Boom,” catapulted SALIVA into the mainstream and is now certified Double Platinum. After nearly 15 years, SALIVA parted ways with vocalist Josey Scott. In 2011, Bobby Amaru stepped in to fill the roll, infusing SALIVA with new blood, spirit and an energy similar to that which launched the band’s career a decade earlier. From modern metal to straight up hard rock, SALIVA continues to write in-your-face, anthemic songs, and win fans over through tours around the world with the biggest names in rock and appearances on the main stages at countless festivals and the most well-known motorcycle rallies. ZAO’s new 60-minute, 11-song opus ranks as the near-three-decade-old group’s longest record since 2004’s The Funeral Of God, offering themes surrounding the manifestation of depression, anxiety and anger. Musically speaking The Crimson Corridor is all about extremes. While there are plenty of the band’s signature crushing riffs and abrasive vocals there are also a lot of moments of quiet tension. ZAO is not in a hurry and is not afraid to drop back and build quiet tension only to slam back roaring louder than before.
Greek modern metal five-piece SCAR OF THE SUN is poised to reach the next level with the release of their otherworldly third full-length, Inertia, out May 14, 2021 via Napalm Records, and has dropped the exciting second single and official video for the album’s title track today!
After unveiling their hard-hitting first offering, “I Am The Circle”, quite recently, SCAR OF THE SUN is set to deliver their next smashing anthem with its catchy chorus, poised to stick in the listener’s mind forever. Taking off with an instrumental intro, “Inertia” evokes full aggression – raising a voice for everything that is about to come and lyrically dissecting the idea that those who run the world want society to be numb. The song is visually underlined and smartly grasped by an impressive music video, shot and directed by Achilleas Gatsopoulos. SCAR OF THE SUN and on the video for “Inertia”: “It's absolutely breathtaking to watch your emotions and words that you put on paper being materialized and visualized in such a magnificent way! The work of Achilleas Gatsopoulos exceeded our expectations for one more time! Achilleas perceived and depicted the whole Inertia album lyrical concept and he managed to fit it in a four minute masterpiece of a video. We hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we do!” Achilleas Gatsopoulos adds: “Picking up from where the album cover left off, the band's trademark Jugendstil/Dieselpunk/Ancient Minoan design elements were combined with an Expressionist Film approach in order to breathe life into the intricate illustration and manifest the lyrical concepts into visual form.” Breakout metal stars TETRARCH have continued to deliver on their promise of taking over the metal scene in 2021 with the release of their two successful new singles, "I'm Not Right" and "You Never Listen", and today - in anticipation of their new album Unstable (out April 30 via Napalm Records) - they're dropping a third! Their most aggressive single yet, "Negative Noise", sees TETRARCH enter full-on blisteringly heavy metal territory with an addictive modern twist. The sonic call to rise above the mediocre static that surrounds us stands tall as a vigorous, unrelenting banger - walloping with gritty riffage, forceful growls and an unrelenting double bass assault. The track impacts today alongside a hard-as-nails music video. |
