The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island has had their share of legendary performers and tonight adding to the list of sold out shows as Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators roll into the village. Opening the night were Southern California's Joyous Wolf. The last time I saw them was at BB Kings in NYC. Seeing how they destroyed the stage there I couldn't wait to see what they could do on the Paramount's huge stage. They did not disappoint. Vocalist Nick Reese had everyone watching right outta the gate with his twirls, splits and even back flips . But the band was not to be over looked either. Blake, Greg and Robert made you take notice with their own stage antics as well as super solid playing. Newly signed to Roadrunner Records you should get their single Slow Hand and make sure you check them out live!!! Now was the moment the sold out packed crowd had been waiting for. They went wild as Brent, Frank, Todd, Myles and Slash took over the stage. One hour and forty mins of spellbinding music that took us thru a great travel of Slash's catalogue - his solo stuff, Velvet Revolver, Guns n Roses and of course Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.
The show had many highlights including The Great Pretender, played live for the first time on tour & the amazing vocals of Myles Kennedy & when bassist Todd Kerns took over the mic....all amazing but nothing compared to hearing Slash be Slash, ripping away on that Gibson all night. Get the new album Living the Dream and check out these guys live!!
