Swedish metal band Avatar made their triumphant return to the House of Blues in Chicago for the first time in just over 2 years.  With their album Hunter/ Gatherer which was released in late 2020 during the pandemic shutdown the band is rocking the "Era of the King" look during this inception of the band.  Vocalist Johannes Eckerstrom who dons the makeup similar to that of Brandon Lee's epic character "Eric Draven" from the movie The Crow. 

Avatar came out a blazin' as they set the stage for the next 1 1/2 hour set with their heavy single "Colossus".  Johannes and his court had the masses head banging along to hits "A Statue of the King", "Hail The Apocalypse", "Smells Like A Freak Show" and others.  The lights, the atmosphere, the outfits and the music makes Avatar not just a musical but a visual experience.  Rock On!
