Grave Digger Review - Thousand Tears By: Susan Vega The sixth track off the "Fields of Blood" album, aptly named "Thousand Tears" sends you back to the reign of Mary Queen of Scots. The somber duet between Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast and Boltendahl makes you feel like you're being serenaded by melancholy minstrels who are mourning the loss of their beloved queen. Power house vocals and brilliantly orchestrated instrumentals are brought together in a sort of harmony that tugs at your heart for reasons you don't quite understand. And who isn't a total sucker for the bag pipes when done in soulful manner? The Folk Metal vibe is strong. It almost makes you want to don a kilt, hop on your horse and race through the lush greenery of old Scotland, all whilst the warm tears run down your cheeks. German Metal is a beautiful creature.
