ON YOUR DEATHBED is a Massachusetts Local band that has become one of the sought-out bands in the area because of their diverse and powerful musical creations, an energetic and aggressive live show and probably one of the most down to earth and laid-back bunch of guys.
I Have grown up through the years with most of these members; so to watch them develop and mold into what they are now a days in ON YOUR DEATHBED is a pure honor. So much talent and showmanship on one stage is a pretty stellar thing to witness and I feel like myself and the East Coast Romper have had the best seat in the house!
The band Bob Mendell – Vocals, Mike Creature – Bass, Caz Gadles - Lead/Rhythm Guitars and Vocals, James Healy- Lead/Rhythm Guitars and Vocals and Mike Geoffrion – Drums all come from different music backgrounds but when put into one room and are unleashed put together some diverse, mature and prominent music that varies and flows effortlessly.
ON YOUR DEATHBED has been locked into the metal category but these guys portray so much more from melody driving harmonies to hardcore and punk rock roots. One listen to the band’s latest self-titled EP you will see they should not be labeled in one genre. One song that has showed the bands diversity is the track CAN’T TAKE AWAY on the band’s latest self-titled EP. It is a crowd favorite and just shows why this band can play with such an array of bands. UNIFIED is another smash hit that hits so many different levels of attitude and musical density and substance. The future music these guys are making are even heightening the growth and diversity they are already capable of making and going into 2019 the guys are eager to unleash what they have been working on.
The guys will not be hiding out these guys love a live show and they have a ton of dates coming up around the area so check out their social media pages to keep up to date.
I was able to catch up with the guys for a special night when they got to open up for Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper at the Greasy Luck in New Bedford, MA. Before the show I was able to sit with the guys and get this special raw and uncut fun filled interview with them before they hit the stage. We get a little look into how they perceive their playing, the future music they are working on, winning an award and playing with so many different genres of bands.
If you guys are reading this and still a little unfamiliar with these guys defiantly check them out and keep in touch with them as they play out a lot and the bands show is such a fun event to check out along with all around great dudes to get to know.
